Zoo with Grandma

When we started telling Brooklyn that her Birthday was coming up, she didn't fully understand. We continued to explain, Grandmas going to be here, you get to eat cake, have some presents and blow out candles. We eventually added on, when grandma comes and you turn 3 we are going to go to the zoo. Gosh was she excited about that.
For about a month before her birthday she would tell us, "when grandma comes, and i turn 3, i get a pink cake and go to zoo!" she was thrilled with the idea. When we pulled into the zoo, Brooklyn could not help but want to jump out and run to all the animals.
It was so cute, Brooklyn found this "mommy and Brooklyn" lion and wanted me to come sit on them with her. It was so adorable. She enjoyed every minute of it.
Brooklyn and Grandma got to spend a lot of time together.

It has been over maybe 20 years since Eric and his mom have been to the zoo together. I had to get a picture! Love the face sweetie- NOT.

Brooklyn thought the rhinos shinny horns on the mental display was pretty cool.
We were able to see half of the Elephant show, which is always my favorite. I could watch the Elephants and Giraffes for hours. Brooklyn, Grandma and mom were sitting down watching the end of the show. And one of the trainers gave the Elephant a command and i guess he did the wrong act for the command, cause the next thing you see is water being squired all over us. Don't ask me where the water came from, but Brooklyn was so excited to be splashed by the Elephants. It is one of the things she talks about when she sees an Elephant or a picture of one.

It was so cute, when we passed this sign, Brooklyn ran right up to it and put our her hands. like she knew mom would want a picture. Looks like she is almost a Juvenile - no please no, not ready for that yet.
We went on a train ride to see some other cool animals as well. Brooklyn sat with Grandma and was a little nervous, but she held onto grandma's hand and was safe.

Some cute cubs we found.

Brooklyn and Grandma outside of the zoo. It was a beautiful and perfect day.
