Day 3:
Your idea of the perfect first date.
This might not be ideal for a perfect date, but seeing that it was my first day with my sweet husband i think it was pretty perfect and would not change it one bit.
Let me set the mood, we had seen each other a couple times and had a few short conversations. Somehow, my friend and i got Eric's phone number while he was at work, not sure what reason i told him why i needed, it but i am sure he was happy to give it to me. I called him on my way home from hanging out with friends the night he gave me the number. ( i didn't waste anytime) I remember i was driving home and we were talking, he was parked in front of his house and i told him we should hang out sometime. i remember his response was " i might be able to pencil you in somewhere."
and i replied quite confidently, "pencil? permanent marker all the way."
Somehow we agreed to meet up in person that evening since we were talking a bunch on the phone. I remember i was so nervous to see him, since we bonded nicely over the phone. We met up at a Walgreen's parking lot. Being nervous and excited i jumped into his car and we hit it off. We talked a ton, about everything, family, work, school, mission, his scar on his stomach....where he was stabbed...( wink wink- appendix removed) I remember during our conversations, Eric would move his hand closer to my seat, and i just happened to put my hand on the seat....we held hands, and continued talking some more. Though i had only met him less then a month ago and got butterflies every time i would see him or someone would talk about him it felt so comfortable being with him and having that connection. Eric eventually went in for the kiss and i kissed him back. It was such an honest, sincere, first kiss. I remember i had plans to move back home in a few months. Eric's words after we kissed were, " so does that make us boy friend and girl friends now?" It showed to me he was not the type of guy to kiss every chick just because, he kissed them and wanted to be with them. So that was what started it all.. So no not the ideal perfect first date, but i think it was perfect.

Love the story. Love that it is recorded so some day when you are both old and gray, you can remember every detail of how you first fell in love!
