Thanksgiving Point with the DeMelo's

A few months ago we had some amazing neighbors move in next to us.  Since the night they moved in, our kids have bounced back and forth, and we have grown to be good friends.  We took an adventure and went to Ikea for "kids eat free" and then went to Thanks giving point for 2 dollar Tuesdays.
The kids enjoyed the Dinosaur museum, like always.

Airborne

Eric surprised Brooklyn and I, and took us to a place called Airborne.  It's full of trampolines and a dodge ball area that has trampolines on the floor and walls.  The evens joined us in the fun.
The boys: Chris, Eric, and Bentley hanging out
The kids loved jumping into the pill and throwing "blocks" at one another.

The kids jumped, fell and jumped some more.  What a great way to get that extra energy out.

Thanksgiving point 2011

In August Thanksgiving point lets you enter into their "park" for 2 dollars a person on Tuesday!  So of course we took full advantage of this.  Michelle and I packed up the kids and headed south.  The kids loved being so close to one another.
If you would of thought they would of had enough of each other in the car, no way they continued hand in hand as we approached the Dinasour Museum.  Boy were they excited to see dinosaurs.

Half way through the museum they have a "sand bar" where you can play with sand, water and little dinosaurs.  I don't know what the designers were thinking, putting a bunch of little toddlers in a room with sand and water.  That room stunk so bad, and the kids always come out wet and who knows what on their hands.  Yes, they did have a hand washing station, but of course the paper towels were out and the water worked if you were able to jump in a circle and pat your tummy at the same time. So after that "fun" experience, we continued on through the museum.
What a cute picture of Michelle and her boys!  Brooklyn on the other hand wanted nothing to do with this room.  She is scared of sharks, and whenever she sees one and is calm enough to look at it, she is asking for a band aid for its owies in its mouth. ( the blood on its teeth) poor girl, i guess we won't be watching Jaws anytime soon.
The kids really enjoyed all the bones and how they were arranged together.  Example, a couple of cavemen throwing spears at the Mammoth.
In another park of the museum they had a more hands on fun for the kids, they were able to dig for fossils.  Which also included sand and thank goodness no water with it. Just stinky feet, and sand throwing.  The boys caught on with the paint brush and brushing away at the fossils over time, but Brooklyn kept on wanting to dig with it.

Next on the list was to visit the Farm.  This is a different farm then the one we go to often.  We should of just lived on a farm, now that i think of all the times we have "visited" farm animals!  This Barn/Farm land you were able to pet the animals and go on a hay ride along with a pony ride. Yee- Haaw!

Ben and Brooklyn watching the other kids on the pony, and trying to wait patiently for their turn.  They had their ponies all picked out and were ready to ride!
Owen on his horse, what a proud boy.
Brooklyn, should of been a cow girl,. . . or horse girl!
Ben riding that horse like a pro.
This is my little pride and joy after i told her we were all done with our turn.  What a broken heart she had.  Maybe she can ask Daddy for a pony for her Birthday.
Some of the horses you see at these places look so warn down, but this horse was beautiful! i am going to call her a she, cause i don't remember what {she} is.  She was so tall, dark, build and clean looking i was amazed.  She defiantly needed to be out in the fields running around vs sitting in this gated area.
After we saw all the animals and did the hay ride we got ice cream, and boy did they enjoy every bite.  Even the bites that didn't make it into their mouths.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is not a HUGE day in our house. We show love for each other every day of the year! But Eric did give me a card ( big smile) and white roses. I know most men give out white roses. But there is a reason behind white roses and us.
His hair is so looong!
First off white is my favorite color and Eric gave me white roses every so often when we were dating.  I always had Flowers or roses in my room during our courtship.  And then the evening Eric asked me to marry him he gave me a dozen or more white roses.  Beautiful!  So it made me feel very loved he still remembers. Thanks sweetie.

Brooklyn was invited to a Valentine's Day party!
We didn't have any red/pink outfits so i figured purple is close enough :)
all the girls eating their lunches.
After Lunch we made heart sugar cookies, frosted and put candy on top..boy was it yummy and messy!

Zoo lights

First off it was freezing. But we decided to go ahead and enjoy as much as we can.  Brooklyn and mommy went with Jana and her boys, which turned out into tons of fun.
The entrance of the zoo, super cute animals, Elephant and Giraffe

She might of been standing in the middle of the lights to keep warm?
Santa's reindeers were here, Brooklyn was really enjoying watching them, as was I.
Is that one, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner,  or Blitzen?
Just some of the CUTE lights

My favorite, they were giving loves!
The tiger was pacing back and forth kinda crazy, but what am amazingly beautiful animal.  I still get amazed when i go to the zoo, so many beautiful and strong animals.
Brooklyn wanted to do everything Spencer did ( Jana's middle song)
The Kids! love it!

Like i said Spencer and Brooklyn spent a lot of time together, she wanted to do everything he was doing and he was so sweet with her, making sure she stayed with the group and even held her hand a could of times. ahhh

All and all a great trip and adventure.

Halloween 2010 Day2: Saturday

We did our normal routine on Saturday morning in costume and all. Brooklyn enjoyed wearing her dress and wings a lot.  That afternoon the Evans came over for a BBQ and to get ready for the mall Trick or Treating event.  We had a good BBQ and enjoyed their company.  And we had to rush to get the kids ready so we can make it to the mall, while they still had candy.
 Owen as a Zombie

 Ben as a mummy.
Brooklyn being a ladybug, but also a stinker bug...not looking at the camera.

Owen, Ben, and Brooklyn
Ben and Brooklyn always have had a thing for each other...can't you tell.

We headed to the mall, just in time.  We went last year and did the same thing, with the Evans as well and this time the kids were older, more mature and man what a difference. They were so happy and good and wanted the candy!
 Candy Time!
It was funny, when the kids were able to pick some out for themselves they would get one some times and other times get handfuls.
 Brooklyn and her daddy

 Chris and Ben
Brooklyn got a little lazy near the end, but she was still a pretty good sport with daddies help.

At the end of the night Eric added all her candy together and boy did she make our like a bandit.  I am happy to say i have only had 1-2 pieces of her candy. Her favor candies are the suckers and her play dough.

 Halloween 2010 was a success..
