Pumpkin cookies

A few days ago, I was asking Brooklyn if she wanted to make Pumpkin cookies, in my mind i was thinking Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies.  So we continued along with mixing and baking them up.  Brooklyn thought the dough was yummy,  of course.  However, half way through baking the cookies, she asked me when are we going to make Pumpkin cookies.  I continued to tell her "honey, these are pumpkin cookies" , i showed her the pumpkin picture on the can.  She almost broke down crying.  I was thinking these:

And she was thinking these:

Needless to say i told Eric the story, how simple one little thing could be confusing to a kid who has not been around and knows what sugar cookies are vs pumpkin cookies.  Daddy was kind enough to make some with her Saturday night.  She was so excited.  I think she actually eat more frosting from the can then she got onto the cookies.  The joys of childhood.

Just because

Just because...I love watching people read to Brooklyn, seeing the joy in her face and excitement in the books. Puts a smile on my face.

A whole new meaning to a "cup of milk"

We were making pudding, and brooklyn helped herself.

Thankgiving cookies

As you can tell by now we like to bake cookies together.  We have a bunch of sugar cookies we need to make up soon.  So we were able to find some shapes that went with Thanksgiving.  And Brooklyn is loving the camera recently.  Can't you tell.

Eric was showing Brooklyn how to put the shapes in the dough and she kept on sneaking in bits of the dough. Smart girl.
She eventually got a hold of it all. And is loving the after math.

* She has been pulling up chairs towards the counter where the cookies are staying and keep on grabbing bites. Unfortunately, the frosting is mutli-colored and you can see it all over her face. :)

Sprinkles Galore

So, we here in the Heller household don't get out of our warm and cozy pj's unless we are leaving the house. So after a good well balances meal of Mac n' Cheese.  Brooklyn got a cupcake that looks like daddy provided the sprinkles and she went to town.

A yummy savings..

Brooklyn and i, mommy, were at the grocery store doing some coupon shopping, and came across the clearances area! MY FAVORITE! and we found this...a giant cup cake maker? i have seen them before but never wanted to pay 19.99. but they were on clearance for 7.00 plus i am not sure if the original one had this, but it has a spot where you can add to the inside. ie ice cream, pudding etc.Wow we were excited to make this.. look how cute it is. Brooklyn when straight for it and stuck her fingers in it to eat the frosting, like mother like daughter i guess.
It is so huge!
Brooklyn so wishing she could eat it before dinner...silly girl no such luck!
