Discover Gateway trip

 Discover gateway is a children s museum that has a ton of hands on science projects and things the children can do.
The first stop was a sucking  tube that moved the balls from one place to another.  Brooklyn got a huge hit out of that.  Bentley on the other hand liked the balls. So he was in heaven.

 Next area, there were a ton of blocks you could build.  You could build, stack, move with a crane or play with them.  Brooklyn thought the crane was cool and was attempting to put it in it, so she could move it to another area.

Bentley just wanted to move the block around. 

 The next area was a hit.  Bentley loves water and so does Brooklyn so it was perfect.  You can move little boats or balls through the "steam". Bentley got a hold of a ball and would not let go of it until we were almost done with the hole museum.

Didn't really want to get wet, but he was happy with his ball. 

 Rock climbing wall.  Brooklyn did such a great job, she might enjoy this when she gets older.  She thought it was way cool to be climb a real rock and not be falling down.  She made it all the way to the top, with just a little help from her mother.

 They also had a grocery store you can shop at, weight items and ring people out.  Brooklyn, after much waiting, she was able to finally be the cashier.  Look at her in her own little shop. :)

 Bentley got a kick out of the car.  He was playing in it the whole time Brooklyn was in the grocery store.  He loved the knobs, buttons, wheel, and all that boy stuff.

We had a great time exploring somewhere we have never been before. Great time

Lagoon 2012

L for LAGOON!

Brooklyn and Mom when to Lagoon on Friday the 8th of June!  Brooklyn was excited to ride the big rides and to spend some one on one time with mommy! Eric was awesome and watched Bentley and Maya, while we lived it up! 

 I have only been to Lagoon once, and that was when we were visiting Utah when i was under 8 years old.  So i didn't know where things were.  Our goal was to go on all the rides that Brooklyn was tall enough for..So the first ride we saw we did it.  

 She was VERY nervous, especially since during the ride i realized this is a bigger kid ride not made for 3 year olds!  We got it all on video. HILARIOUS! Basically, she was excited and nervous at first and when the ride started going, her face turned to fear.  She told me she wanted to go home, she didn't like it etc.  about half way done with the ride she was relaxing and realized its run, and she will be okay. What a champ!

After that i asked someone where the "kid area" is..and score it was all up hill from there.

 Space ship ride and so much more.  She really did have the time of her life.  It was so much fun spending that special time with just my Brooklyn.  Watching her experience fear and then enjoyment.  She is such a blast and a good sport. On our way home she passed out. 

When we got home, she told dad all about her adventure and the fun rides...oh ya and the scary ride which happen to be the puff the magic dragon roller coaster...( no picture, since i got to ride it next to her :) )

Tory Story 3 Baby! Opening Day

 Brooklyn was all dresses up and ready to see Toy Story 3 on Friday, June 18th.

At the movies:

waiting for the movie theater to be cleaned so we can take our seats. Brooklyn must of eat at least half of the pop corn then. 

Brooklyn did pretty well for being mobile at her first movie theater experience.  She enjoy watching the movie on a HUGE screen and laughed when everyone else did, and EAT and EAT. 

Cookies

Brooklyn helped me Bake Oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies, they were so Yummy! one thing i was surprised was the recipe asked for sour cream i have never used sour cream in cookies before. But goodness they were good and Brooklyn thought so to. if u cant tell :)

Wheeler Farm June 6th

If there is one thing you must know that you haven't realized already is that I (alyssa or mom) LOVE animals and i think Brooklyn enjoys them just as much.  So instead of going to the zoo and paying we went to the farm, 2 days in a row.  We took pictures and pet animals, Brooklyn was lucky and saw the horses gallup.  she kept on saying..."woooo" Very cute.

I could sit there and watch them for hours.

Brooklyn finally got the courage up to pet the sheep.  she was very nervous at first and then she realized the sheep is just laying there relaxing.  I was so proud of her. You could see her eyes light up, once she finally felt the wool.

Brooklyn also was able to feed the cows, she was once again nervous.  But this time i dont think she ever got over that feeling.

Scavenger Hunt for mommy and brooklyn

Eric put a Scavenger hunt together for mommy and the brooklyn (as Eric put it)
Clue one was on the laptop and read:

Go to the place where Brooklyn goes to get all clean.

Handi-man is a she?

Brooklyn must of watched me as i replaced the batteries in her toys..oh so often; cause we found the screwdriver and tried to do the same thing. I found her trying so hard to "fix" it. Very cute and what a smarty- yet again.
